Do you pick up trash when on a trail? Or while birdwatching? If not, then today is a day to begin! “Plirding” is picking up trash while birdwatching and today is National CleanUp Day! So help out!
Why is plirding important? Picking up trash makes our surroundings, our parks and neighborhoods more pleasant. Also, we don’t want wildlife eating any trash or getting stuck in plastic or other containers. It’s our planet earth and we must care for it!
So grab some gloves to keep your hands clean, a bag to toss the trash in, your binoculars and go plirding today! Join the National Clean Up Day each year on the third Saturday in September. And of course, help out others days when and where you see a need! Thanks for helping our environment!
