My goal this trip was to sketch while on the trip. Often I would carry a small book and never sketch anything till I was home. This trip I sketched from a photograph from the trip. Two times I actually sat and sketched in the moment. Once at an airport and another in the green space near Vila Borghese. Both of those instances were a bit unsettling. I never sketch where a person could look over my shoulder and see what I am doing. No one did, but I felt vulnerable about a task I am only learning. It was all fun and I hope to continue to work on my sketching ability.

Mary, keep sketching. Try having light, medium, & dark values. It will add more perspective & excitement to each drawing.
